WEEK 6 (FYP 1)

Activity : The Literature Reveiw

So, the next step must be proceed as soon as possible. I need to prepared the literature review for this project. The literature review is to compared the previous work and what i have to do to this project for better improvement. i need to study about the objective and their problem so that i can come up with new development.

WEEK 5 (FYP 1)

Activity : Workshop on Introduction (Chapter 1), Literature Review (Chapter 2) Writing and Detailing About Project

This week is briefing week. This week is a introduction and literature review week. For the introduction in the report, we need to state the 

• Problem statement
• Aims or Objective
• Scope of product
• Method used
• Report organization

Literature Review; the literature review means that the review of the literature is traditionally considered a systematic and critical review of the most important published scholarly literature on a particular topic. The purpose of the literature is 

• Determines what is known about a subject, concept or problem
• Describes strengths & weaknesses of designs, methods of inquiry and instruments used in earlier works
• It shows that you have read the work of other researchers in your particular area
• It provides more detailed information about studies already referred to briefly in the introduction to your FYP
• Provide a critical review of the existing methods instead of just reporting what others have done
• Describes strengths and weaknesses of designs, methods of inquiry and instruments used in earlier works
• 
  

Detailing About Project;

My project is about 

• Respiration rate is the number of breath in one minute.
• Sensor will detect the number of breathing and microcontroller will calculate the respiration rate.
• This system using temperature sensor to detect the temperature in order to measure the respiration rate.
• The data will be transferred via IoT and respiration rate can be monitored.

So, this is my;

1. Problem statement

• The respiration measurement only can be done in medical center and cannot be monitored daily at home.
• The normal measurement of respiration rate can only be recorded in the hospital and cannot be monitored distantly.
• Current respiration measurement device is bulky.

2. Objective

• To develop a low-cost respiration measurement and user friendly. 
• To design a system that can identify normal and abnormal for respiration problem. 
• To design a system that can send the data recorded to the doctor immediately via IoT.

WEEK 4 (FYP 1)

Activity : Meet Supervisor for Discussing about the Proposal Report

This week is a discussing week with our supervisor about the proposal report. I had visited Sir Syazwan about on how to write proposal report. Basically the proposal report should have:

1. Title 

2. Abstract 

3. Table of Contents 

4. Introduction 

5. Problem Statement

6. Objectives 

7. Literature Review 

8. Methodology 

9. Gantt Chart for FYP 1 and FYP 2

10. Expected Budget

11. Preliminary Results (if any)

So, this is basically need to have in the  FYP 1 report. This report divided into three chapter which is (Chapter 1: Introduction), (Chapter 2: Literature Review) and (Chapter 3: Methodology).

For more references, UniKL BMI was provided a FYP Guidelines in the FYP website to write FYP proposal report.

WEEK 3 (FYP 1)

Activity : First Final Year Project (FYP) Briefing

This week basically is about the briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted in TTL 1 and the attendance of all the student that are taking the FYP 1 was compulsory.

The briefing was conducted by DR Imran Mohammad Sofi.

• Date      : 9th February 2018(Friday)
• Time      : 3.00pm – 5.00pm
• Venue    : TTL 1

During Week 1, students are required to choose/decide each of the following:

• Supervisor

• Project category

• Project title

The students were required to carefully select the title of the project. For degree students, the title must reflect the capability and knowledge of a degree student. Students may select the titles that are offered by lecturers (FYP supervisors) or come out with own ideas.

WEEK 2 (FYP 1)

Activity : Go to Library for Doing a Research by go Through Previous Tittle of FYP and Choose the tittle for Final Year Project

After do some research in the previous journal from the internet, i have found three interesting tittle for FYP as requested from the supervisor. There are the three tittle for the FYP that i have found;

• Real Time Respiration Rate Measurement Using Temperature Sensor

• Thermistor Respiratory Monitor

• Thermistor based Apnoea Monitor 

After have this tittle, i go to the UniKL BMI libary to go through the previous tittle of FYP. I have found various journal about the Respiration and do some study on it. I read through the list of the title and each synopsis of the project so that I can understand the requirement and some criteria that needed to complete the project.

So, after explain the detail about the project, my supervisor advise to choose the first tittle to my final year project which is:
